10 Affordable "Where Did You Get That?" Buys We Wore This Week

Our first ever fashion collection Drop 01 by Who What Wear UK launched this week, and the stream of compliments as we wear the pieces into the office has been non-stop. For those of you who aren't in the know, this is a sustainable and affordable collection that has been crafted by our editors and community. Every piece has been designed by a game-changing democratic and totally unique process where everyone gets a say. That neckline, that fabric choice, that print mix… It's all been up for debate, and switching up the creative process has given us the ability to generate truly considered and practical items that have been missing from our and your wardrobes forever!

Over the past few days, we've been giving the 14-piece summer capsule collection a solid testing. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it, right? And it's been a pleasure. To see that perfect sundress fit like a glove (from a size 6 up to a size 24) or to witness how incredibly differently our editors style the same classic item is fascinating. The "where did you get that?" questions have been rolling in, and we've been rather smug to spill the tea.

So the perfectly formed capsule of dresses and separates provides chic, timeless solutions for your closets, and thanks to a clever pre-order model, this collection eliminates the wasted garments and fabric you'd normally incur elsewhere on the high street. It also allows us to use the costs saved to pay garment workers higher wages and give back to children in the factories' surrounding areas via our partner Pratham.

Keep scrolling to see the items we've worn to the office this week and wowed everyone else with. Or you can skip straight to the good stuff and shop the collection right here

WHO WHAT WEAR

Style Notes: It's the dress that does everything! Works for the beach, works for the office, works for a wedding, a party… You name it, and the Cader Dress does it. Here, Remy dresses it casual and wears the versatile neckline and shoulder options in a neat front bow and with the sleeves up.

This is a floaty linen blend which is so comfortable to wear, and you can tie the neckline in multiple ways to create a different look each time!

Style Notes: I may be a little biased because this is my favourite dress and it's called the Hannah, but it is rather fabulous, isn't it? I love a strong print, but there's something so easy about this despite its vibrant colour and clash. I could wear this more casually with flats, but I love a chance to get dressed up.

I'd recommend sizing up on this one if you're between sizes or prefer a slinkier tea dress–style fit.

There is a cute tie detail at the back of this dress should you find you want to fit the waist more to your figure.

Style Notes: Different top and bottom sizes? Then this gorgeous Avalon Blouse and Georgia Skirt give the illusion of a dress with many added bonuses. This is a real wow combination that so many of us wanted to try. Here, Maxine gives it a smart spin with platforms and a little bag.

We spent a long time working on the neckline of this blouse so that it's bra and boob friendly!

Style Notes: If you're more of a minimalist, this trending linen shirt-and-shorts idea will be right up your street. The pieces are great worn together, but they're just as easy to chuck on when you wear them separately. Here, Emily layers her heatwave look with a little vest.

This boxy shirt is made from a sustainable cotton and linen mix.

These shorts have a high waist and an exaggerated A-line leg shape for a structured, roomy fit.

Style Notes: Sometimes, there's nothing better than an LBD, and so many people have fallen in love with this Cader Dress in black. Eleanor keeps it ultra-chic with matching black strappy sandals and a red lip—I'd be inclined to copy her.

The shirred waistband allows for a comfy fit around the waist and then extra volume in the skirt to swish about in.

Style Notes: The Claire Dress seems pared back and minimal from the front, but it's all party at the back—perfect for a hot summer day. I love Joy's addition of Tippex-white sandals and a matching pedi!

This dress size is quite dependent on your bust, so if you have a fuller bust, size up. If you have a smaller bust, then it's worth getting your normal size or a size smaller for the darted bodice to fit.

This works really well with a multiway bra if you want that added support.

Style Notes: The flame-red linen fabric we adore comes in a pair of breezy trousers too. These have an elasticated waist at the back for a fit that looks slick but is oh so comfy. And if you're on the hunt for a perfect white tee, stop the search.

A slightly boxy fit and super-soft, weighty fabric makes this is the perfect tee.

Style Notes: We loved the print and shape of the Hannah Dress so much that we made it twice! This mod-style version is great for those of you who prefer minis, and the monochrome palette means it works well during every season.

I'd recommend sizing up on this one if you're between sizes or prefer a slinkier tea–dress style fit.

The V-neck of this dress cuts just above your bra, so it is underwear friendly.
