The Divine Instagram Snaps From Dolce & Gabbana's Couture Show

The Parisian Haute Couture Shows are only open to the most VIP of VIPs but Italy's version (it's called Alta Moda and did you know that couture technically began in Italy a long, long time ago?) is just as exclusive, and no more so than for Dolce & Gabbana's presentation. 

To a select few editors, special customers and dear friends, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce revealed their exquisite spring 2016 collection in lavish style yesterday; the grand Teatro alla Scalla in Milan played runway to their decorative and dramatic opera heroines. Heavy with jewels and goldwork embroidery; wrapped up in padded, luxe silks and swathes of fur; with crystal-dotted crowns nestled among extravagant updos, Dolce & Gabbana's otherworldly beauties strolled through time and into everyone's hearts: A standing ovation sealed the deal and emotions were running high for both the audience and the design duo. Following last year's furor over their controversial views on gay parenting and surrogacy, Stefano and Domenico made a visual effort to patch things up via T-shirts and handbags emblazoned with many iterations of the all-important famiglia—including children with same-sex parents.
