A Super-Blogger's View of Dior's Haute Couture Show, by Sofie Valkiers

While social media gives the illusion that everyone is at the haute couture shows in Paris right now, the reality is quite different. They are the most exclusive runways in the world, and seating is strictly limited—invitations are only sent to the most elite. And that's why when one of our top influencer friends—Sofie Valkiers of Fashionata—gave us the heads-up that she would be sitting front and centre at Dior's first haute couture show under its new creative director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, we jumped at the chance of getting her insider take.

Even if Chiuri (a former Valentino designer) isn't a name you know well, we're certain you will have spotted her first cult designs for Dior. Her debut collection for S/S 17 has already seen some runaway successes: Chiuri's white "We Should All Be Feminists" tees have been plastered across the street style circuit; ditto the Dior-emblazoned ribbon-effect kitten heels. And then there's Bella Hadid—the model recently chose one of the brand's balletic tulle concoctions for a standout red carpet moment. In brief: You need to know what this designer is doing because all of your favourite girls are entirely on board.

So what did Sofie see? Who did she hang out with? (*Cough* Diane Kruger.) And what did she love about this Dior debut? Keep reading to go through her diary.
