These 6 Swimwear Brands Are the Only Ones Worth Investing In for 2023

Just when you think you've got to grips with spring/summer's many trends, it's time to start thinking about swimwear. And like denim shopping, we know this may not be the most enjoyable task seeing as it's not always easy to find The One. Of course, the high street is ticking off one-pieces, celeb-loved string bikinis and co-ordinating hats, sarongs and beach cover-ups. But when it comes to swimwear that'll go the distance, we back designer brands. Worth the extra spend, the right swimwear can take your confidence up a few notches with minimal effort—if it's the perfect fit, that is. And this is why we've taken it upon ourselves to highlight six swim labels we're backing for 2023.

Hunza G with its flattering stretchy designs are of course on the list, then there are sustainable brands Away That Day and Fisch, along with some others that are ticking all the right boxes right now. We're not saying swimwear trends can't be followed, but these are the timeless brands we believe you'll wear each and every summer. Keep scrolling to shop our favourite swimwear brands, but be quick, as the best styles never stick around for long.

1. Hunza G

Loved by the likes of Hailey Bieber, Kim Kardashian and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hunza G isn't going anywhere. The swimsuits are so flattering, they come in one-size-fits-all (read: most), thanks to the super stretchy shirred fabric. For 2023, expect square necklines, twisted bikinis and fresh, new hues.

2. Fisch

Saint Barthélemy–based label Fisch has been creating stunning swimwear made from used fishing nets found in the Mediterranean sea since 2017. Aiming to be eco-conscious, the brand uses timeless shapes and designs to make sure the statement designs stay timeless. The mermaid cup styles are what we have our eye on for 2023 and beyond.

3. Faithfull the Brand

Faithfull the Brand isn't new on the fashion circuit, but we're seeing the Bali brand even more this year. Zingy shades, punchy prints and fresh designs are what's making the most stylish women stay loyal to the label. The 2023 way to wear the swim is by co-ordinating your entire outfit, or mix it up by clashing its signature prints.

4. Away That Day

Sustainable swimwear brand Away That Day is on a mission to prove eco-friendly fashion is as stylish as the rest. With bikinis, swimsuits and matching resort wear, the brand has made its mark since launching in 2018. Collaborating on an edit with influencer Bettina Looney last year, we're expecting big things.

5. Alexandra Miro

If you're in the market for chic swimwear, look no further than Alexandra Miro. The London-born designer is known for retro styles that'll bring a hint of luxury to any destination. Flattering belted one-pieces, high-waisted bikinis in timeless prints and shades is what you'll wear now and love forever.

6. YouSwim

Made to fit your body, the stretch fabric of YouSwim's styles is flattering for all. In one size that fits up to seven different dress sizes, each design is classic and comes in a plethora of colours to suit everyone. We're a big fan of the classic one-piece you could also try out as a top. Tip: Just add wide-leg trousers or a skirt.
