Dakota Johnson Just Wore the Outfit Formula Every London Girl Relies On

Dakota Johnson is one of those women I rarely think of when it comes to looking for style inspiration. It's not through her lack of style however (we all know she always nails the red carpet), but more due to the fact she's not very active on Instagram. With just nine posts (last time I checked), we have to wait until she gets papped out and about to get a glimpse of her low-key yet enviable looks. One such example is her latest stylish yet relaxed off-duty outfit, which she was spotted wearing while heading to the Madame Web film set. Needless to say, it was well worth the wait.

One thing's for certain, the actor is a huge fan of jeans. So much so, she's very regularly spotted in a pair—in all cuts, styles and shades—with a laid-back t-shirt and trainers. But this latest look of hers is what reminds me of every London-girl I see on my commute who is ever so gradually stepping into autumn mode. And that's all down to the addition of the cable knit jumper

Dakota paired her Marques' Almeida wide-leg, frayed hem jeans (which are very on-trend I might add) with a pair of Adidas Gazelle trainers from the Gucci collaboration and a cosy yet polished cream cable knit sweater. To add a bit of glam to this stripped-back combo, Johnson has then added a beaded necklace along with a carry-everything tote bag (a staple in every Brit girl's wardrobe). A pair of Ray-Bans also give a very British feel to this easy-to-copy ensemble, and ta-da, the look is complete.

Johnson's everyday uniform is the formula to imitate for an instant autumn outfit, with minimal effort needed. Scroll down to shop the look, as well as my other favourite cable knit jumpers available now.
