As editors at Who What Wear we spend hours upon hours looking at new-in sections, and so over the years have developed a knack for spotting products that will sell out or have huge appeal with our readers. Last year, there was one dress in particular which we had a feeling was destined for cult status—a ruched midi dress from COS. It came in a few different colourways and featured a simple 90s-style midi silhouette, however the ruched detailing on the waist and fuller skirt made it a little more relaxed. Well, we hate to brag, but the style was out of stock within a month—with half the Who What Wear team buying the orange iteration ourselves.
We thought you might like to know that for the new 2023 spring/summer season, the dress is back, and while this year's version is just as polished, and just as easy to throw on in the mornings—for work, play, weddings and and even summer holidays—it also features a chic new asymmetric hemline that makes it feel wholly more modern.
