Copenhagen Fashion Week is becoming one of the international schedules that really shouldn't be missed. As well as a line-up of brands that we buy/wear/want all the time—By Malene Birger, Ganni and Baum Und Pferdgarten being just a few favourites—A-listers are now wising up to the hip wiles of these Scandi labels and the FROW crew are ridiculously pretty to look at.
So as you can imagine, the few days of shows in Copenhagen provide plenty of outfit inspo both on and off the runways. And, as a weird bonus point, the weather was pretty poor for August so it gave the street style set a chance to bring out the big guns and get stuck into some autumn trends nice and early. Key note: Leopard print is really having a moment here. Scroll down to see our favourite 27 ensembles from #CPHFW.
Style Notes: Suits make up a pretty big part of the Copenhagen girl's wardrobe right now—especially when worn so casually without a top.
Style Notes: What did we tell you about blazers and jeans already?
Style Notes: Darja Baranik quite clearly has a strong jacket/coat wardrobe at her disposal—this alternative blazer matches the offbeat lines of her flared crop-kicks, sharp collar, pointed booties and Loewe’s Leather Puzzle Bag (£1525).
Style Notes: Pernille Teisbaek is Queen Of The Unexpected Combination: this motif sweater and floral Saks Potts skirt being a perfect example.
Style Notes: Lena Lademann's loose-fitting separates get a ladylike overhaul in the form of those bow-fronted Charlotte Olympia Ilona Mules (£505) (£252).
Style Notes: Cycling around this city—and around Fashion Week—is totally the norm. So girls have got to grips with what works: low heels and voluminous shapes you can move it or at least knot and tie up to give your legs freedom!
Style Notes: Darja Baranik has the Baum Und Pferdgarten leopard-print Devona Coat (£371) every girl in Copenhagen either has or wants (really badly)—and we can see why. Just how effortless does it make this print clash look?
Style Notes: Veronika Heilbrunner doing what she does best—taking a really pretty piece and making it fit for a tomboy. Her Ganni skirt and tee, plus a velvet jacket are now on our A/W mental wish list.
Style Notes: Darja has been shopping wisely, locating all of your wardrobe staples, only they each have a twist.
Style Notes: Pernille Teisbaek’s nonchalant take on a flirty skirt has us interested: those Vêtements boots make another appearance, a black outsize sweatshirt gets smartened up with a Louis Vuitton mini trunk bag and… the sunglasses!
Style Notes: This Saks Potts Brain Coat (£523) is the perfect way to transition summer whites into the new season.
Style Notes: Stylist Victoria Sekrier's laid-back Ganni look can be copied and pasted by all of those girls who don't want to be outrageous with their dress sense.
Style Notes: Hege Aurelie gives athleisure a kick(flare) into unchartered lands—who knew a hoodie could work so well with those By Malene Birger Vassionah Trousers (£265)?
Style Notes: Influencer Linda Tol also got the sports-luxe memo: she's given her hoodie a dressing up via a leather Ganni dress, red boots and a bag from one of our favourite new discoveries, Boyy.
Style Notes: A standout coat that does all the hard work for you—simply wear a statement piece of outerwear with jeans and a black jumper as soon as the temperatures dip.
