PSA: Charlotte Tilbury's Highlighter Wands Are Back in Stock
Last year, Vogue posted a video of Madison Beer using the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand. The singer dabs a few dots of the highlighter-blusher hybrid onto her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, blends effortlessly with a sponge, and is left with the most perfect ‘lit from within’ glow. After watching the video, I immediately purchased the exact shade Beer used (Pinkgasm, if you were wondering). A wise move, considering that within a matter of days, every single shade of the wand was sold out, and it’s been almost impossible to get hold of ever since. In fact, every restock in the past few years has sold out within record speed, so this is an urgent PSA that although the Charlotte Tilbury highlighter wands are (finally!) back in stock, you’re going to need to move pretty fast if you want to get your hands on one.
There are six shades of the highlighter wands. Two are straight-up highlighters in classic golden hues— perfect for brightening and illuminating the high points of your face. The other four are highlighter-blusher hybrids, delivering major glow and a tint of colour in varying shades of pink. All six have a thin, gel-gloss texture and soft-focus pearlescent finish which looks fresh and dewy on the skin. If you subscribe to the no makeup-makeup ‘clean girl’ look and are already a fan of the (also always sold out) Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, then the Beauty Light Wands will be right up your street. I’ve truly never used a highlighter or blusher that looks so natural.
What’s more, a little goes a long way. That one I purchased back in 2021? Yep, I’m still using it. And (despite the fact I get sent a lot of makeup freebies), it’s been a staple in my daily makeup routine throughout the past two years. You truly only need the tiniest dot of product to blend out into a radiant flush across your cheeks. At the same time, it’s not overly pigmented - the formula itself is actually quite sheer, which is what makes the finish so skin-like and natural. So if you’re new to the concept of using a liquid blusher or have used less impressive versions in the past, don’t be scared off. The texture is effortlessly blendable (you could even use your fingers), but I find that a makeup sponge or a fluffy blush brush is the best way to apply.
I won’t keep you hanging around. Since they’re sure to sell out, time really is of the essence if you want to get hold of the Beauty Light Wands in 2022 - and who knows when they’ll be back… Keep scrolling to choose your shade.
Shop the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wands:
This is the shade we predict will sell out first. It's a perfect rosy pink - not too warm, not too cool, so it flatters all skin tones.
Still pink, but with a warm, golden hue, this peach-toned shade will instantly warm up your complexion with a healthy pop of colour.
A true champagne gold which instantly illuminates skin. TikTok users say this works just as well for eyes as it does for cheekbones...
Based on Tilbury's most popular lipstick shade, Pillowtalk, this warm brown-toned pink is probably the most natural-looking of the four blusher shades.
A deeper, darker version of the above, which is especially flattering on warm skintones.
Inspired by old Hollywood filters and meant to mimic the way that candlelight hits skin, this delicate rose-gold gives skin a glass-like glow.
Beer also uses Charlotte Tilbury's Hollywood Contour Wand, a product which has many similarities with the above - same packaging, same gel-textured formula, same natural-looking result. The only difference? The finish is matte, so this wand (available in three shades) is perfect for sculpting the contours of your face.
