This Is What I Actually Think of the Foundation With a Waiting List of 17,000
Despite an influx of tinted moisturisers and lightweight foundation alternatives in the beauty cupboard over the summer months, there has been a definite shift as we approach the end of summer. Rather than barely there finishes and skincare-makeup hybrids, the last couple of weeks have seen a slew of proper, traditional foundations landing on my desk. And as a foundation fanatic, I couldn't be more in my element.
Obviously, though, I only have one face, so deciding on which new product to prioritise testing can be difficult. (Woe is me.) Thankfully, it was easy to make a decision this morning—there's a new foundation that dropped today and currently has an enormous 17,000-person waiting list ready to purchase.
The foundation in question is the new Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation (£34), and I have to admit, it wasn't just the waiting list that made me excited about getting this on my face this morning. Turns out, I'm already a massive fan of a cult £30 Charlotte Tilbury product that both celebrities and our editors swear by for seriously radiant skin: the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (£30). So when I heard that a foundation was launching that was made to complement this glow booster, I couldn't wait to get it on my face.
As you can see from the before-and-after photos above, this foundation is seriously good—and I'm pretty sure that the 17,000 people waiting to get their hands on it won't be disappointed. I'm in shade 3 Neutral, described as a light beige for fair skin with neutral undertones, but there are 44 shades available from light to deep and with a mix of warm, neutral and cool undertones.
I applied the foundation using my go-to makeup tool of choice—a damp Beautyblender. (Trust me—Meghan Markle swears by it too.) I was really impressed with the way that just one pump covered my entire face and reduced the appearance of dark circles and blemishes without the need for concealer. I loved the matte yet glowy finish too, which looked skin-like and natural while giving me the coverage that I expect from a traditional foundation.
The thing that's really clever about this foundation though is that, although it performs like a traditional liquid foundation in terms of coverage and longevity, it actually contains some of those skincare benefits that fashion girls love in lightweight foundation alternatives.
Despite its natural matte finish, it feels incredibly hydrating on the skin and actually promises to moisturise for up to 24 hours. Plus, it contains a new complexion product known as replexium, which visibly reduces the appearance of wrinkles after eight weeks of use. Pretty impressive.
I'm not the only one who's been impressed with it either. The full Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation campaign launched today with Tilbury taking to Instagram to reveal a whole host of incredible faces supporting the new foundation. From model Chey Maya Carty to Dame Joan Collins (yes, really) there are some pretty impressive seals of approval.

The new foundation is available in 44 shades and is pretty damn brilliant.
It might look like blusher but you actually apply this new colour corrector under your eyes before your concealer to neutralise dark circles and brighten the skin. Trust me—it works.
Honestly, I didn't even feel like I needed this after the foundation, but for days you have particularly tired eyes or a blemish that won't budge, this full-coverage concealer has your back.
If your skin is lacking in glow, then this is the product for you. Apply it under or over foundation as a radiance-boosting primer or a subtle highlight—it always makes my skin look instantly brighter.
Next up, I hate to say it, but this really expensive serum actually does work.
