Chanel Takes You Inside the Atelier for Couture Fashion Week
Chanel has staged many a grande spectacle over the years, and today's Haute Couture show for A/W 16 was no different. However, there was a certain peeking behind the curtain and intimacy that the theme allowed: Creative director Karl Lagerfeld and the Chanel team arranged a set within Grand Palais, Paris, that replicated the interiors of the fashion house's famed atelier. Complete with pattern-cutting in-progress, bolts of fabric and toiles on mannequins, the models walked through the mise-en-scene to reveal the final, exquisite garments. Welcome to Atelier de Couture.
