For me, a braid is the ultimate summer hairstyle. While they're totally timeless all year round, the thing I love most about them s undeniably their versatility in warm weather. From sleek French plaits and boho fishtail braids to cute pigtail plaits and elegant waterfall braids, there's a style you can rely on for every occasion and any mood. Trust me—a relaxed braid might just be the most practical style you can wear to the gym.

I'm not the only one who loves a braid… The classic style is still a favourite of top celebrity hairstylists, including the likes of Christian Wood (who does Sophie Turner's and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's hair), and Mark Townsend, who styles the Olsen twins, Natalie Dormer, and Shailene Woodley. Our fashion friends like ASOS Lesley and Syana Laniyan are often spotted stepping out in braided hairstyles, and my Instagram feed is overflowing with plait inspiration right now.
