The Zara sale might be long gone, but we find the best way to approach shopping at this time of year is to think carefully about the pieces that will be trending over the next 12 months. What will be the 2019 version of the printed kimono, say? Or the next It Zara coat? There are certain trends and pieces that are set to be real success stories throughout 2019—animal print is still going strong and is likely to become even more popular, and mock croc continues to dominate accessories.
Then there are some new trends added to the mix. Beige is set to be the key colour for spring/summer 2019 season, and we've found the most amazing pair of knee-high leather boots, which are the perfect finishing touch for any tonal outfits. Pretty blouses are hardly a new trend, however, jeans with a nice top is an easy outfit that more of us will revisit this year.
Keep scrolling to discover the six items that everyone will want to buy from Zara in 2019.
1. Belted Coats
There is always one hero coat in Zara every year, and in 2019 we are willing to bet it will be the oversized belted coat, which you can find in olive, grey and a chestnut colour.
One of the standout trends for spring/summer 2019 is beige, which is to be worn head-to-toe, layering oatmeal, biscuit, blush and off-white shades. Zara's wooden-heel leather boots are the perfect place to start on this styling move.
3. More Animal Print
You'd be forgiven for thinking that we have already reached peak animal print, but the trend will continue well into 2019, and as ever, Zara is already all over it. We are loving the below zebra-print shirtdress the most.
4. Mock-Croc Shoes
It's hard to pick the one shoe trend we're into the most at Zara right now, but the mock-croc ankle boots and loafers look worth so much more than £100.
5. Nice Tops
Sometimes you can't beat a nice top and jeans, and Zara's new-in section at the moment has lots of lovely satin blouses and floral-printed shirts.
6. Black Pointed Shoes
Many of our favourite shoes in Zara right now are black leather with an extremely pointed toe—the leather mules from the Zara Blue collection are just so chic.
