This One Detail Makes Boots Look So Much More Expensive

It's hard to talk about 2019 shoe trends without discussing those Bottega Veneta sandals. We're sure you know the ones. They're the square toe mules that just about everyone was wearing at fashion week and which eternal style muse Rosie Huntington-Whiteley owns in several different colours. Over the summer, their popularity was undeniable and it became hard to scroll through Instagram without seeing some kind of iteration of the shoe.

Unsurprisingly, now that the cold weather has set in, we're seeing the trend translate equally as prominently across winter footwear too, as square-toe boots are appearing just about everywhere. As to be expected, fashion enthusiasts have already embraced the trend, and once again it's becoming somewhat difficult to scroll through Instagram without seeing an example of square-toe boots.

With editors, influencers, and of course Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on board, we can only assume square-toe boots are set to experience the same popularity as their summer sandal counterparts over the next six months. Keep scrolling to see how a few fashionable favourites are styling the trend and shop new-in styles below.

Style Notes: As an early adopter of the square toe trend this summer, Rosie has unsurprisingly invested in a pair of square-toe boots for winter too. Here she's pictured wearing her go-brand, Bottega Veneta
