I Just Scrolled Through So Many Petite Winter Buys—These 26 Were the Very Best
Getting dressed in the morning is hard enough in winter, even without being petite. It’s often still dark when we stand in front of our wardrobes searching for something to wear, we never know if it’s going to be freezing outside or oddly mild. Now add to that the stress of being shorter than 5’3” in a world where most clothes are designed for 6-foot, size-8 models… It’s tough, okay!
As a petite fashion editor, having to search that little bit harder for outfits that work (and make friends with my local tailor) is something I’ve learnt to tackle my whole adult life. By now, though, I think I’ve managed to crack the code of where to find the best pieces that work for us shorter people. Yes, I still struggle sometimes trying to re-create street style looks or lust after a designer piece for months only to realise it drags on the floor. But when it comes to finding those timeless capsule basics that really make a wardrobe work, there are a few brands I always turn to that I know won’t let me down.
And since we’re still very much in the depths of chilly, grey winter here in the UK, I thought it was worth doing some serious scrolling through their new-in sections to bring you the 25 best cold-weather petite buys for wearing right now. We’re talking cosy coats, chic smart trousers and leather layers. Some pieces are even perfect for transitioning into spring (if it ever comes), like the dresses, which can work with roll-necks and chunky boots now and sandals when the sun comes out.
So if you’re petite and struggling with outfit inspiration at the moment, keep scrolling for some ideas as well as links if you’re looking to update your collection.
