It's hard to believe it's only been a bit over 12 months since Meghan Markle was introduced into our lives. The impact she's had on everything from our wardrobes to the way the royal family is perceived is monumental and is only going to continue. If you're a regular Who What Wear reader, you'll know that we're royal family fashion fanatics, and 2018 has been a corker—in no small way—thanks to the Duchess of Sussex. Reflecting back on all the excellent outfits, we felt it only fitting to celebrate Meghan Markle's 12 sartorial highlights—one for every month. One of our favourite Meghan-approved coats of the year. The heritage check is very on trend and perfect for the chilly British winter.

A classic Meghan outfit formula: midi skirt, court shoes and a tan coat.

This Altuzarra dress got many an approving nod from the fashion crowd, thanks to its button-up detail and flattering waist belt. Very S/S 18.
May
You can't look back at 2018 without remembering the royal wedding. Meghan chose for Claire Waight Keller for Givenchy to design her simple yet stunning gown.
June
A first outing to Ascot calls for an elegant Givenchy (who else?) shirtdress and matching monochromatic hat. Very My Fair Lady.

Meghan threw us a curveball with this denim sundress, however, she still sticks to her favoured midi-belted waist cut.

Meghan Markle in a minidress?! Miracles can happen. Created by designer Judith & Charles, the duchess chose this blazer dress to attend a showing of hit musical Hamilton.

This has got to be the most glam outfit anyone has ever worn to play netball, ever. We loved the asymmetry of the top and wide-leg fit of her trousers.
October
We have no words. Meghan was a vision in blue for her first state dinner in Fiji. The dress by Safiyaa featured a striking cape detail and was cut to flatter her growing baby bump.
November
Over the course of the year, it's become clear that the boatneck is Meghan's neckline of choice. Case in point? The chic Givenchy belted midi she wore for Remembrance Day.
December
We couldn't quite believe it when Meghan popped up at the British Fashion Awards to present Claire Waight Keller with the British Designer Womenswear award. Her black, one-shoulder was immaculate, as were the chunky bangles that adorned her wrists.
