Everyone's Searching for Low-Heel Ankle Boots—Here's My Edit, from H&M to Toteme

Attention, please. It is at last time to reintroduce your beloved ankle boots back into your wardrobe rotation. That's right, September is almost over and it's high time we strap into something sturdier for the autumn months. Though we'll be packing away our strappy sandals with an appreciative smile on our faces, we're secretly thrilled we no longer have to weigh up whether it's weather-appropriate to wear ankle boots, as autumn's blustery days make boots a no-brainer.

As we gear up for the winter season, we're prioritising excellent quality, sleek cuts and a comfortable step in our ankle boots. On that note, I've narrowed down my search criteria to low heels, which are a winner for comfort, practicality and style—all of which are equally as important. Once you've shopped your perfect pair you'll find it hard to resist wearing them every day.

And I'm not the only one who has their sights set on low-heel ankle boots. Google Trends has seen interest in the term rocket over the past weeks, as shoppers look to graduate from sandals and loafers to sturdier styles for the cooler months.

As we've seen over the past few months, celebrities and the style set alike are swapping out their high heels for flat shoes, whether running errands or attending weddings. Over the summer months this manifested in ballet flats and mary janes, spotted on the likes of Zoë Kravitz, Kate Moss and Katie Holmes amongst so many others. But as the seasonal switch occurs, low-heel boots are scheduled to stride in right on time for the autumn and winter months ahead.

The true beauty of low-heel ankle boots lies in their styling potential. The best friend of straight-leg jeans and wide-leg trousers, they can ground a daytime outfit whilst adding a polished flair and smarter finish.
