Fashion People Agree—These Are Summer's Chicest Trousers

If you’re the sort of person who prefers trousers over skirts and dresses, we feel for you. When it comes to the latter, you have a myriad of hemlines and silhouettes to choose from, and that’s before we get to fabrics, prints, and colours. Indeed, there’s an infinite number of dress and skirt options at your disposal, but trousers?

Sure, you have jeans; wide-leg, cropped and tapered pants; leggings; and joggers, all of which have a place in our wardrobes. But your list of options is significantly more limited. Trouser trends are also hard to come by, as there are fewer ways for fashion brands to reinvent them. As such, you’d be forgiven for feeling somewhat underwhelmed about trousers—particularly as we head into summer. However, you’ll be pleased to hear that one of the most on-trend purchases you can make this season just so happens to be a pair of trousers.

While they always make an appearance during a heatwave, fashion types are giving humble linen trousers serious clout right now. With cropped styles proving most popular, linen trousers will carry you through just about every summertime outing. Whether you’re going on a walk, on a date, to a picnic, or simply staying home, linen trousers will have you looking and feeling cool—something to which both Jessica Skye and Monikh Dale can attest.

There are lots of cropped linen trousers gracing new-in sections at the moment, too, in a plethora of shades and cuts. Handily, we’ve rounded up the best of them for you below. Scroll on to see them.
