I Searched Through Every Frankie Shop Item—These 28 Are the Absolute Best
The Frankie Shop has become one of the most illustrious fashion brands of the decade. It amassed a cult following as a result of its luxe-casual loungewear at entry-level designer price points. Since its inception, The Frankie Shop has released bite-sized capsules adored by everyone from Paris to New York and beyond.
Former journalist Gaëlle Drevet founded The Frankie Shop with a minimalistic aesthetic at the forefront in 2014. The brand specialises in tailoring, separates and core basics, and each garment is designed with the minimalist sartorialist in mind. So far, the collections have been concise elevated edits based on a paired-back androgynous aesthetic.
Every season, The Frankie Shop debuts a collection with a stand-out piece destined for the hall of fame. So far, its hero pieces consist of the renowned tailored trousers (with subtle upgrades each season), boxy blazers and the highly sought-after oversized quilted-shell jacket—a piece trending a year after its initial release.
This season's Gelso collection is my favourite to date. It comprises tencel, rayon and wool, which are mindfully curated and suitable for the summer forecast. The mid-weight, free-flowing suits can be worn uniform or separately. Like most Frankie Shop pieces, the overarching theme of simplicity in this collection has inspired its unostentatious offerings. There's a strong '80s influence entwined with a modern city-girl aesthetic (a distinguishable feature of the brand).
The prominence of colour in the spring/summer 2022 forecast didn't escape The Frankie Shop's grasp, as the current collection paved way for candied hues amongst the dulcet and ashy tones the brand is best known for.
Keep reading for an edit of some great Frankie Shop pieces, including some hidden gems to weave into your existing wardrobe.
