If there's one thing we know about 2017, it's that the dress has ruled supreme again. It versions have been filling up our Instagram feeds like never before: Cute green wrap dresses from Realisation, white broderie from River Island, polka-dot slinkiness from Ganni… the list goes on, but all the dresses in the spotlight are as ultra-feminine as the next. These are floaty, Boomerang-worthy swathes of silk, chiffon, pretty florals and undulating frills.

The trend continues with some extra oomph into A/W 17. Catwalks—even some of the most unlikely ones—were behind this new breed of Bohemia, with designers patch-working luxe fabrics, puff sleeves, handkerchief hemlines and tiered silhouettes together to create a kind of souped-up prairie frock. Necklines and hemlines are demure, any combination of textures and patterns goes, and they look best when worn with long boots—a trick we've already witnessed on the streets (see Charlotte Groeneveld above in her matchy pinky boots). These are boho, but so much more complex than your average ditsy-print maxi.
So without further ado, let's shop what's set to be the It dress for at least the next six months. See our favourites below.
