Beach, Please—These Have Got to Be the Best Holiday Dress Trends

There's no one beach-dress style that ticks all the boxes for everyone. Personally, I tend to reside in a beach dress that can work as a coverup since I like to spend time sunbathing in just a swimsuit. Others like their beach frocks to be as risqué as their bikinis, whilst other just want something basic and casual to throw on—something they won't mind getting covered in suncream and salt and (let's be real) ice cream.

A great proportion of the Insta collective have already been taking their summer holidays (LOL—we know they're always away somewhere fabulous), so we've had a peek into what's happening on the beaches already. So when you've got your swimwear trends all licked, sandals calling out for a pedicure and your holiday packing list almost done and dusted, turn your attention to the edit below. From bohemian kaftans to retro crochet numbers, there's a beach dress (or four) in here for you.

Style Notes: The freshest boho maxi dresses are billowing and loose-fitting, free of excess prints or hippie detailing. Keep it simple and carefree like Emili Sindlev wearing Three Graces London here.

Style Notes: Florrie's classic white crochet beach dress has persuaded us back into the retro look. If you're seeking a cover-up that's less about blocking the sun and more about making a statement, this is the one.

Style Notes: Jessie Bush is one of the many girls choosing to vacay in a Zimmermann dress this year. Can you blame her when the prints are this sweet and the shapes are that fun to swish around in?
