I'm Convinced That Everyone Looks Rich in This Autumn Dress Trend

There are a select few trends that just make you look rich and like you should be hob-nobbing in elite circles with people who own yachts, spend summer on islands or have countryside retreats and government connections.

One such look that seems to endure and fool everyone season after season is wearing beige from head to toe. Even with its ubiquity in fashion over the past few seasons, this styling hack still hasn't lost its sophisticated shine, and now it has been reincarnated yet again for the autumn season thanks to a flurry of chic beige-hued knitted dresses.

Between you and me, it's the only new dress style I'm interested in buying for A/W 19 (I already own pieces that tap into the other dress trends like dark florals or leather), and I've been keeping quite a close eye on where the well-dressed women I follow on Instagram are purchasing theirs…

One brand in particular seems to be a very popular choice. Celebrities and influencers alike have been queuing up for Nanushka's knot-front styles—whether sleeveless and more appropriate for layering or the chunkier oatmeal knit versions with sleeves. The tie-waist detail is savvy, and we love that knitted fabrics can always be cinched for a fitted, figure-flattering result.

However, there are others: I've seen H&M stocking up on this trend; Whistles has a loose-fitting version that's crying out for cool knee boots and a skinny belt (it was online and has disappeared in the past few hours—hear my cry, Whistles HQ!); & Other Stories, ASOS and Mango are getting involved too.

Keep scrolling to see who is wearing this luxe dress trend and shop my favourites for yourself (before I get them all).
