This Actress Is Redefining Red Carpet Style, One Achingly Cool Look at a Time

There are many actors who boast talents that go beyond acting; some can sing, others can dance and some cobble shoes (here's looking at you, Daniel Day-Lewis). However, one of the bright stars of 2020 isn't just an actor; she's also a comedian, a rapper and now a fashion muse. Of course, we're talking about Awkwafina.

Although you most likely know her from 2018 blockbusters Crazy Rich Asians and Oceans 8, Awkwafina has been bossing the music and movie industry since 2012, after a video of her singing went viral. Since, she's been snapped up to star in a host of Hollywood movies and just last week she earned herself a Golden Globe Best Actress win in the category of Musical or Comedy for her starring performance in the acclaimed film The Farewell, making her the first Asian-American woman to win the award.

Yes, Awkwafina is someone that's worth paying attention to at the moment, and that's exactly what we've been doing, particularly when it comes to her clothes. From her elegant Golden Globes ensemble complete with tulle collar to the sharp suiting she favours when on the premiere trail, Awkwafina's outfits always hit the mark and are a tribute to her achingly cool persona.

Seeing as she's set to be one of the biggest hits on the red carpet this award season, we thought it was high time we charted Awkwafina's style. As such, keep scrolling to see her best-ever looks.
