There's Now Another Version of That ASOS Green Dress—And It's More Flattering

If there's one ultra-niche item we were surprised to witness the rise of last year, we'd have to go with the unusual green dresses (particularly printed ones) that popped up everywhere. And one dress that caused a particular frenzy back in March was ASOS's green printed, pleated dress. Before it could make it to the bloggers and their Instagram posts, the dress sold out as soon as it dropped.

The clever people at ASOS have just realised a sister style—a dress in the same print with the signature pleated skirt, three black buttons and spaghetti straps. Unsurprisingly, the £40 dress is already selling out quickly, so you'll have to move fast to buy the latest iteration of the cult ASOS number.

Perhaps we should have caught on years ago. Remember back in 2014, when one of the most iconic Zara purchases of all time became a green tropical-print sundress? In 2017, a few emerald success stories came to light—including Réalisation's Violette frock (a delicate floral wrap in pea-green), which became ubiquitous with #OOTD posts from celebrities and influencers alike.

Then there's Balenciaga's Strangled-Print dress—the expensive yet omnipresent piece on the global fashion week streets that was worn in a multitude of unexpected ways. Tibi's mint-green plissé iteration brightened up many high-profile wardrobes, and Alessandra Rich's incredibly luxe take on tea dresses includes a green style that's been hugely popular with influencers and regular women alike. You get the picture.
