I only ever usually wear one-pieces. However, when I was looking for swimwear for a press trip to Dubai with ASOS, one of the Who What Wear editors convinced me to try the brand's £28 crinkle bikinis. "It's the most flattering bikini I've ever worn," she told me—and she was right. The mix-and-match crinkle bikinis come in dozens of colours, from neon orange to lilac to brown, and you can choose between lots of cuts, with options for bigger busts too. I loved both the bandeau top and the V-front crop top and found the hipster bikini bottom the best for coverage. The high-leg bikini bottoms were too "Bella Hadid in Miami" for me, so only order that style if you're open to the thong bikini trend.
This bikini set was unsurprisingly popular with the group who was traveling with ASOS. However, looking around the pool, I kept spotting lots of women wearing different combinations of the one-size crinkle bikinis. The multiple options of cuts means that these are flattering for so many body shapes. The neon orange version was particularly popular with the Dubai crowd.
ASOS's crinkle swimwear has been trending on Instagram since last summer, so keep scrolling for how people are mixing up the sets.
