This Arket Miniskirt Just Wowed All the Fashion People I Know

As Who What Wear UK editors, we spend a lot of time scrolling through the new-in sections of all our (and your) favourite brands. It’s like a little morning routine: pour my coffee, grab breakfast and, instead of the news, I head straight for the fresh drops on sites like Net-a-Porter, H&M and Arket. This means we generally see a lot of pieces and get a real sense of what’s coming for the season ahead.

Every so often, though, we come across a hero piece that completely stops us in our tracks; that from years of experience, we can pretty much guarantee will be a sell-out whether because we just know our fellow editors will love it and start spreading the word about it or because we can totally see influencers wearing it on repeat. Sometimes it’s a luxury item that is jaw-droppingly beautiful (think Totême’s scarf coat), and sometimes it’s a high-street piece that looks so premium it could easily pass for designer.

That is exactly what happened earlier this week when I first spotted Arket’s pink satin miniskirt in the new-in section. Bright, bold but still somehow incredibly elevated and chic, it was clearly a winner. Unsurprisingly, throughout the next couple of days, I saw links to it popping up on my fellow editors’ and influencers’ IG feeds, all waxing lyrical about how great the skirt was—especially for an affordable find.

Like most people (I assume), I didn’t think I needed a pink satin miniskirt in my life, but now I’m almost certain I do. It also comes in black for the colour-averse out there—but I’m convinced either shade would end up being a really versatile wardrobe piece. The skirt is perfect for dressing up for evenings out thanks to the satin material or down with ballet flats or trainers.

There’s no doubt this is going to be a popular piece, so keep scrolling to shop the satin miniskirt before it goes, and see more of the best miniskirts around right now.
