We couldn't quite believe it ourselves but we have some proof to say that the bomber jacket could be on its way out. After spying Alexa Chung over the weekend wearing a utility khaki jacket over some blue jeans, we did some digging and realised that this wasn't a Chung-only trend. No, this has been making its way through the fashion crowd for some time now, with the likes of Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, and Olivia Palermo all opting an the military-style coat.
So, how are they wearing it? With Mossy, it's all about building it into her own style by throwing it over a pair of black skinnies (her faves). But as for Jenner and Baldwin, they've gone for an oversized style wearing it with skin-tight jeans and crop tops. As for Palermo, while she wore this look way back in February during Paris Fashion Week, she's always great at spotting a trend before everyone else.
Scroll through our gallery for a look at how everyone is wearing theirs and where to shop the look.
Style Notes: This is what we're going to call the 'Sunday Roast' look. It's casual but still classically chic.
Style Notes: Go for the oversized look like Hailey Baldwin, perfect for showing off that crop top.
Style Notes: This is a cool take on the look. Do what Kendall Jenner does and pair your coat with denim cut-offs and velvet boots (did we mention we're obsessed with ankle boots right now?)
Style Notes: Kate Moss has arguably worn this style of jacket for longer than anyone else. She knows how to keep it simple but stylish by wearing hers with a black tee and skinnies.
Style Notes: As we mentioned, while Olivia Palermo wore her khaki jacket months ago, we're still loving the styling of a roll neck underneath.
You wouldn't think this jacket from Warehouse was high street, would you?
A lighter version that will work well with a black tee.
Pricey but definitely worth it.
How cute is this?
A classic jacket that will last you seasons.
