We can't quite believe it, but spring has finally arrived, and while it felt like winter lasted approximately five years, we can confirm the mercury has reached over 10º and there have been a suitable number of #blossom posts on Instagram. Of course, this year, it all comes with the looming backdrop of isolation measures, so our usual seasonal activities will either be postponed for a later date or adapted for our living rooms.
The same principle applies to our wardrobes, and while usually we might be picking out spring dresses to wear for a weekend picnic or a nice top to throw on for brunch, our new social set-ups have presented a whole new set of specifications. Everyone's will be different, depending on your lifestyle, but I thought I would show you the pieces that I actually want to wear over the coming weeks, with a little help from our fave high-street store, & Other Stories.
I'm looking for flattering yet functional 'fits, uplifting colours, versatility and longevity. This includes throw-on dresses which are comfy enough to wear 'round the house but nice enough to look the part with sandals in the summer, light knitwear to wear with layered necklaces and chunky hoops, and a few spring jackets that can be thrown over leggings and tees for a trip to the supermarket.
