This Is the Exact £16 Product Alexa Uses for Her Trademark Beauty Look

What's the first thing that springs to mind when you think of everyone's favourite cool girl, Alexa Chung? Perhaps it might be her stylish wardrobe or her much-copied choppy bob but, chances are, it will be that iconic slick of black eyeliner that she's never without.

Yes, Alexa sure knows how to create a beauty trademark. Since bursting onto our television screens as a T4 presenter back in 2006, the model has rarely been spotted without a retro flick of liner to define her eyes—so much so that it's now synonymous with her style.

But, what product does she swear by for creating her trademark beauty look? Turns out—it's the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner (£16). An affordable, pen-style applicator that is jet black in colour and has a precision applicator so you can create fine lines or thick feline flicks.

"The nib on it is the perfect shape and size and it gives you control," said Alexa of her go-to beauty product.

In fact, Eyeko were actually such big fans of Alexa's trademark beauty look that they approached her to collaborate on developing the product together—so you can really trust that this has the Brit icon's seal of approval.

"I really love it—before I was using a brush and pot, but it’s so much to take with you," explained Alexa in an interview with Into The Gloss. "The pens are much better. My technique is to start with the little flicks on the outside first, and then fill it in. Sometimes, I’ll do just a tiny line for a brunch, but if I’m going out for the night, then I’ll experiment with thicker lines."

Alexa is such an eyeliner fanatic that she's even joked previously that some people think it's tattooed on. Thankfully, though, while the Eyeko eyeliner is long-lasting and smudge-proof, it's really comfortable to wear thanks the addition of sodium hyaluronate—a moisturising ingredient—within the formula. To make light work of removing it, I'd recommend using an oil-based or bi-phases makeup remover like the Glossier Milky Oil
