When fashion’s reigning It-girl Alexa Chung spills style advice, you listen. In a recent interview with Vogue, the British model and author dished on denim disasters, her goal to become a full-time fashion designer, and the inspiration behind her denim collaboration with AG (available later this month). “I just wanted to make clothes that I would be really happy wearing. As well as making my dream skinny jeans, I wanted to make vintage-inspired jeans that felt comfortable like modern-day jeans do, taking old-school silhouettes but making sure that the modern technology that we have today would make them wearable,” she told Vogue. So, what makes for a denim don’t in Chung’s book? The style muse credits awkward camel toes, holes in the bum, and unflattering back pockets as the ultimate no-nos when it comes to jeans. Head over to Vogue for the entire interview and a sneak peek at the retro-inspired pieces from Alexa Chung for AG.
