I Consider Myself an Airport-Outfit Expert—These 4 Looks Are Comfy and Chic

With holiday travel just around the corner, it’s a great time to take your airport outfits to the next level. I mean, what’s worse than heading home for the holidays and running into an old friend in an airport outfit that’s just so-so? Mastering the perfect travel look is easier than you think. The number one thing on my list is being comfortable, especially if I’m traveling a far distance. I used to swear by a sweatsuit and sneakers as my go-to travel look, and while I do still love a good matching set, I thought it was time to elevate my airport looks just slightly. As I said before, comfort is key, but adding a pair of jeans or cargo pants takes things up a notch. I have been eyeing four outfit formulas that are comfortable and still have a bit of style.

Keep scrolling to see the four airport outfits I’ll be wearing on my upcoming flights.

Jeans + Sweatshirt + Bomber Jacket

This is basically just the updated, more put-together version of a casual sweatsuit. Swap the sweatpants for a great pair of jeans and add a bomber jacket, and you’re good to go.

Opt for a loose style for maximum in-flight comfort.

I can't believe this is from the high-street.

A cosy oversized sweatshirt will see you through the colder months.

The light distressing and washed denim adds a vintage feel to this pair.

Yet another Totême jacket to add to my wish list.

The heavy air con on flights can make it pretty chilly, so a sweatshirt is a great idea.

Sneakers + Black Pants + White Tee

I’m all about a classic white-tee-and-black-pant look. It’s so easy and still looks great. I love how Cass threw a sweater over her shoulder to make this look even chicer.

A white tee is a true wardrobe staple.

Profits from the sales of this collection go towards promoting cancer research.

An easy slip on style will come in handy when going through security.

Sneakers + Jeans + Lots of Layers

Layering season has arrived and has quickly made it to the top of my list when eyeing travel-outfit inspo. This way, you can just wear more cardigans and sweaters instead of packing them.

This looks so much more expensive than the price tag.

Add a touch of tailoring to elevate the layered look.

Cargo Pants + Puffer Vest + Baseball Cap

I don’t know about you, but I love a good puffer vest. I’m also a huge fan of wearing a hat on a travel day, so this look for me is 10/10. You’ll definitely see me wearing this to the airport for Christmas.

I'm seeing puffer vests everywhere right now.

There's something so smart about this pair.

This comes in a variety of great colours.

I'm torn between the khaki and the light beige version.

Why not try a full tonal look?
