Once a market solely dominated by a certain multinational Swedish brand, the world of affordable interiors is one that has blown up over the last few years, in no small part thanks to the aesthetic aspirations of Instagram. Suddenly, the average person's living space has the potential to accrue them followers in their thousands, and in turn, put them on the map in a way that only interior magazines could do in the past.
High-street brands have wholeheartedly jumped on the interiors bandwagon—think H&M, Zara and French Connection Home—in order to provide style-conscious millennials with a way to beautify their homes without the four-figure price tag.
