35 Pieces That Are Destined for Cult Status in 2019

Ahead of the New Year, we've been sifting through all the catwalk images, new collections and emerging microtrends to tell you the ones that are actually going to affect your wardrobe in 2019. It's no longer just designers who spark new trends and styling ideas, as the influencers, buyers and editors who we follow also have the power to make a trend explode beyond expectations.

In 2018, for example, shell necklaces, beaded bags and many mini bags found their place on Instagram. So as well as bringing you a comprehensive guide to the most important spring/summer 2019 trends from the catwalk, we have also asked the stylish women who influence how British women shop the most what they will be buying in 2019.

From Lucy Williams's new investment bag, to the next Instagram trend Lisa Aiken is getting behind, keep scrolling to see the 35 pieces stylish women are putting on their wish lists for 2019.

No one makes British women shop quite like Lucy Williams, so we had to find out from her which trends she will be buying into next year. She's loving the pistachio-green trend and a soft mint-green slip skirt by Rixo. Williams has also introduced us to the most beautiful leather bag by J.W.Anderson.

As a fashion director, Lisa Aiken is one of the key people in the industry who dictates which trends will have a shelf life beyond the catwalk. The fashion director at Moda Operandi has a real eye for cult pieces, and for 2019, she's into oversized pearls, Givenchy logo heels and wooden beaded bags.

Ellie of Slip Into Style is one of our favourite people to follow on Instagram, as she makes even the most fashion-y trends seem approachable. For 2019, she's still really into animal print, and is going to buy a Rixo tiger-print midi, a horse-and-leopard-print Ganni dress and a zebra-print mini shopper.

Marissa of Rue Rodier

Marissa Cox of Rue Rodier moved to Paris in 2013, and her style is the perfect mix of British playfulness and Parisian elegance. For 2019, she's eyeing a number of classic investment pieces, including a pair of The Row pumps and a Loewe bag. But she's also got some serious trend pieces on her list too—"ugly" Gucci trainers to Marni florals, to be exact.
