What should I wear to a casual wedding?

With wedding season beyond being in full swing, you’ve probably been invited to your fair share of casual, outdoor ceremonies. While normally you would reach for something more formal for the occasion, these events call for looks that are a little more laid-back. But how do you make sure you keep it cool while not overdoing your outfit?

Celebrity stylists Emily Current and Meritt Elliott provide their valuable advice, below!

This is a look that’s playful, but can be great for a wedding. Go for silky fabrications that drape, and pair it with a dressier shoe and nice accessories.

Everything feels more casual with flats, so don’t be afraid to pull out a more dramatic dress, then dress the look down with simple accessories that are more daytime-appropriate. A nice, flat strappy sandal and your everyday layers of simple necklaces and dainty earrings is perfect.

Pair a structured skirt with a cute top. Try a high-waisted flare skirt or sharp pencil, and tuck in a little tank or cap-sleeve top.

Style a relaxed trouser in a lightweight, dressy fabric with an easy camisole. Wear the look with a little feminine heel and a dressy clutch.
