Victoria Beckham showed her new collection in New York this week, and most of the buzz around the show was centred around the shoes. For spring 2018, VB is introducing glittery Dorothy-style pumps and lilac-and-blue court shoes. Lilac shoes might sound 1) a little tacky and 2) impossible to match with anything, but Victoria proved this week that they are a surprisingly versatile pump, as she hasn't taken them off.
At her show, she used them to add polish to her casual outfit—they perfectly offset her straight-leg jeans, her white T-shirt and her boxy, oversize pale-blue blazer. Then she proved they will freshen up your work wardrobe too, as she wore them with a white oversized shirt and a sea-foam–green pleated skirt. Over the next year, we can expect to see VB playing with muted pastel colour combinations, as she wore a dusty pink skirt with the court shoes in a periwinkle blue.
