OK, so while this will no doubt make us sound even more shallow and superficial than usual, we think the most stressful part of a job interview is figuring out what to wear. Obviously your smarts, stamina, and strong work ethic are vastly more important than what shoes are on your feet, but it's naïve to think that appearances don't count. Say you're up for a dream job, it's down to you and another applicant, and you're equally qualified. Wouldn't you want that extra edge of being the better dressed one? If nothing else, being properly and perfectly dressed makes you feel confident, and that secure feeling allows you to relax and do your best.
