There's one swimsuit trend that has really gained momentum so far in 2018 —belted retro one-pieces. Belted bikinis are a classic Bond girl move, as both Halle Berry and Ursula Andress wore belts around their bikini briefs, but this year it has moved into swimsuits. "This season, swimwear is more elevated than ever, with designers referencing the '70s, '80s and '90s," says founder of Beach Flamingo and swimsuit expert Lily Russo. "Belted leotard shapes and go-faster stripes are your reference points for this trend. These sporty suits have been reworked in of-the-moment primary hues and rainbow palettes to make them one of the most-flattering and eye-catching trends of the summer.
