This Is the Only 2019 Trend That Matters, According to Rihanna's New Fenty Line

Ever since Rihanna announced that she would soon be launching a third line—following her wildly successful Savage x Fenty lingerie and Fenty Beauty makeup brands—we've been on our toes in anticipation. Disclaimer: The Fenty line hasn't officially launched quite yet, but Rihanna has finally shared a glimpse of what her new luxury ready-to-wear label, created in partnership with LVMH, will look like ahead of the full collection drop later this week.

In an exclusive spread with The New York Times' T Magazine, Rihanna models a handful of standout looks she designed herself, and, true to form, her designs hit on a handful of the biggest and boldest trends of the year. Despite outfitting herself in a range of silhouettes from beige-toned suiting to double denim, there's one overarching silhouette that we spotted throughout: a structured bodice. She told The Times, "I love a corset. We put a corset in a suit, a dress, a shirt, a denim jacket, and a T-shirt dress."

How Rihanna's already wearing it:

Flipping through the images and looking at the launch video shared on the official Fenty Instagram account, the line is teeming with these corset-inspired bodices. When asked about what inspired these shapes, she shared, "I use myself as the muse. It's sweatpants with pearls or a masculine denim jacket with a corset. I feel like we live in a world where people are embracing every bit of who they are."

Well, from what we can see, Fenty is about to be every bit as disruptive (read: diverse and inclusive) to the womenswear market as her first two brands are. Scroll down to see how Rihanna is already wearing her own Fenty designs and more looks from the line, and then shop our picks of her lingerie and beauty products.
