This Major Magazine Put Real Women on Its September Cover

We love when brands feature normal people like us. Nike, anyone? Well, the latest to feature real women is Redbook. As Refinery29 pointed out, the magazine put half a dozen real women on its September cover for the first time ever. How did these women land the coveted spot? They won the mag's Real Women Style Awards, which were awarded to ladies with relatable, fashionable style.

Inside the issue, the women share their style tips, like this: "So many curvy women think volume is bad, but long, full skirts are flattering with a boxy crop top or fitted tee,” Jeniese Hosey, 36, from Birmingham, Alabama, told the magazine.
