Watch Opening Ceremony Turn the Runway Into a Ballet for Spring 2016

Meghan Blalock

Opening Ceremony has established itself as the brand to watch during New York Fashion Week for creative approaches to runway shows. They've staged a live theater production, rented out a giant warehouse, and this year, they topped themselves by hiring a New York City Ballet choreographer to bring their runway models to life in a whole new way.

Justin Peck, the 27-year-old ballet wunderkind who was the subject of last year's fascinating documentary Ballet 422, brought his signature modern-meets-classical skill set to Opening Ceremony's S/S 2016 collection presented yesterday. The buzz on Instagram was that everyone initially thought all the models were falling, when in reality they were dancing!

Watch a clip of the gorgeous presentation below, then keep scrolling to see our favorite looks from the collection! And be sure to shop current Opening Ceremony pieces, too.
