The #1 Street Style Trend Right Now, According to The Sartorialist
There's a new way to look instantly on point and it doesn't cost a penny… When The Sartorialist, aka Scott Schuman, coins a trend, a new sartorial direction is officially born. Rewind to a mere few days ago when the prolific street style photographer captured a breakout styling twist at New York Fashion Week: trenches worn off-the-shoulder from one side only, with a little flash of lace bralette or camisole. This natty way to wear your overlays with what lies beneath peeking through is as cool as it is sexy. But other stars made a case for the look to not be limited to just the classic trench. (Prep your décolletage pronto.)
This double montage from Schuman’s Instagram account documents the look in all its simple, sensuous glory and has ignited a new way to tackle winter layering with a little trim of lingerie on display and, therefore, a bit of je ne sais quoi. Are we trialling it out at LFW already? Of course.

Either the streams of collective fashion consciousness were perfectly aligned, or word got out fast that one-cold-shoulder cover-ups are cool because a whole host of totally photogenic FROW attendees and models took up the look in their own inimitable way. From denim jackets to woolly coats, there's a whole world of shoulder-baring possibilities to explore here.
