Would You Pay $3,000 for a Vuitton Bag With Giant Holes in It?

Meghan Blalock

A number of insanely expensive things have emerged from the fashion world lately: Rick Owens' $15,000 skateboard made of petrified wood, Rodarte's $25,000 mermaid dresses, and now Louis Vuitton is selling a bag with giant holes in it for $2,790.

The bag, part of Vuitton's Icon series, was designed by Comme des Garcons founder Rei Kawakubo. While it's a far cry from the price of a newly minted automobile, that's still a lot of money to pay for a bag that won't safely contain your wallet, cell phone, or really any of the smaller items you normally carry in a handbag.

Take a look at the bag above, then tell us if you would ever drop this kind of cash on such an avant-garde creation!
