The 7 Best Street Style Looks From Men's London Fashion Week

London has played host to Men's Fashion Week for the past few days, and despite being a total washout weather-wise, we still managed to spy some A-plus street style. In fact, so real was the climate that these looks are ones you too can easily wear in everyday life. Among the front-row-only showpieces were plenty of practical ideas, which you can re-create using many of the pieces you already own.

We spotted a number of key colour combinations for 2017 on the front rows this season, including dusty pink and burgundy, and blues and reds. Caroline Issa demonstrated that sometimes nothing beats a classic, elegant outfit, while other show-goers left us lusting after an embroidered shirt, a suede coat and a baker-boy hat.

Scroll through the gallery below to see the seven style lessons we learnt from Men's London Fashion Week.

1. Denim and red is a winning colour combo

Style Notes: Blue jeans and bright red is set to be a key colour combination for spring, and this show-goer looks striking in head-to-toe denim with a postbox-red oversize handbag.

2. Winter-proof your culottes with sporty ankle socks

Style Notes: Too cold to wear your favourite culottes? Make like Elle UK's accessories editor Donna Wallace and pair them with trainers and a sporty ankle sock when it's icy.

3. You can't beat the classics.

Style Notes: Caroline Issa shows that sometimes there is nothing better than a classic outfit combo, wearing a camel double-breasted coat, with a blue-and-white striped shirt, ankle-grazing jeans and black leather ankle boots.

Style Notes: Bored with beanie hats? The baker hat is the cool-girl choice this season, as demonstrated by Laura Hayden, who wore hers with a Belstaff tan leather suit and leopard-print ankle boots. Click here to shop our favourite styles.

Style Notes: Dusty pink and a deep red is one of our favourite new colour combos for 2017 (as seen at Roksanda), as demonstrated by Caroline Issa in her pink bomber and burgundy flares.

6. Black flared trousers are a wise investment

Style Notes: Flares can have a bad rep, but this Men's London Fashion Week attendee proved that black flared trousers are an effortlessly cool silhouette—especially when worn with sneakers.

7. Embroidered shirts are still a key buy

Style Notes: We have been obsessed with embroidered floral shirts ever since Olivia Palermo wore one to London Fashion Week in September, but they still look cool and fresh and add extra personality to simple jeans and shirt outfit combos.
