The 9 Items on Lauren Conrad's Fall Shopping Checklist
September marks the beginning of a new season, and there’s nothing I love more than indulging in fall fashion. While I tend to be more of a summer girl, the latest trends are making it pretty easy to say goodbye to my warm-weather wardrobe. This season is bringing some bold pieces with it, so get ready to take some sartorial risks. My personal favourite trends are ’70s-inspired wide-leg pants, edgy moto jackets, and chic faux-fur vests. I’m even ready to embrace the comeback of cosy turtlenecks. To make your fall shopping easier, I’ve created a checklist of this season’s must-haves. Take a peek below to see what’s on my list…
Boots are a staple of fall fashion. Whether you’re dressing them down with a pair of skinny jeans or feeling fancy with tights and a minidress, it seems as if boots go with just about anything. This year I’m stocking up on the knee-high variety. You will definitely find these riding boots from Vince Camuto in my closet this season!

Every season there seems to be a variation of the ankle bootie, making them a highly coveted staple. There are endless ways to style them, and they always seem to take your outfit up a notch. These Alexandre Birman Lace Up Heels are the perfect height, making them cute and comfortable. Fashion meets function, right?

Black Skinny Jeans
A pair of skinny jeans will always be an evergreen staple. During the summer months, I love slipping on a pair of white jeans, but lately I’ve been leaning toward my black skinnies. I love the distressed detail of these Rag & Bone jeans when I’m in the mood for an edgier look.

Fall fashion is all about effortless layering. One piece that I’ve been particularly in love with this season is the faux-fur vest. I love the idea of pairing a feminine blouse or dress with the coziness of faux fur. One of my favourite looks from my LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection is the owl-print romper paired with the blush pink faux-fur vest.

Believe it or not, ladies, the turtleneck trend is officially back. I’m glad we didn’t leave this one in the ’90s, because these shirts are perfect layering pieces when the weather turns chilly. Some turtlenecks even double up as a cosy sweater, like the Ever Ames Mock Tunic below.

Lightweight Ladylike Coat
Because the weather hasn’t been cooling down much in Southern California, I find lightweight coats to be the perfect transitional pieces. They aren’t too heavy and do the trick on cooler evenings. This Paper Crown Armstrong Jacket has a sweater-like feel and the prettiest button detail.

One of this season’s It purses is the saddle bag. There’s something so sweet about Chloé’s Drew Leather Crossbody Bag, not to mention the incredible hardware that adorns it! Since the Chloé bag is a pretty penny, I thought I would include my favourite purse from my LC Runway Collection too. I hope you love it as much as I do.

’70s-Inspired Wide-Leg Pants
Ever since my runway show, I can’t get enough of these high-waist wide-leg pants. There’s something so feminine and classic about the silhouette that I absolutely love. They are comfortable, chic, and sure to make your gams look a mile long. What’s not to love?
