The £200 Party Outfit We Were All Talking About Last Night

Last night's 2017 Fashion Awards offered up many a standout look (you can see the whole gallery of fashion people wearing the most fabulous outfits here), but one particular outfit stood out to us for a different reason: There's a seriously affordable party suit that you can a) still buy in time for party season and b) still feel like paying your rent until the end of the year is an entirely doable thing.

When Laura Whitmore took over the Instagram Story reins for @WhoWhatWearUK, we were surprised to discover that her entire look was from River Island and only cost £200 in total, from head to toe. The suit looked way beyond its price tag—perhaps it was down to her no-bra, no-top styling move? Or maybe it was that expensive-looking jacquard it has been woven from. We all know the great British high street provides a lot for us to be thankful for, but when we've been busy ticking off that Christmas present list for everyone else, this comes at a particularly opportune time.

Keep reading to see the affordable party outfit we're into, and shop it for yourself.
