Are Square-Toed Shoes Making a Major Comeback for Spring?

Kat Collings

We consider J.W.Anderson to be a rather forward designer. His spring collection punctuated by ’80s puff sleeves, space-inspired knits, and body-con dresses was thought-provoking to say the least. In Vogue’s words: “You didn’t know you wanted this before—but now you will!” We feel especially that way about the footwear that stomped down the runways: square-toed shoes. While the first reaction might be scepticism, the shape actually feels quite fresh, if you’re able to ditch the association with unfortunate men’s shoes.
