3 Game of Thrones Trends We Reckon You'll Actually Wear This Winter

If you go anywhere else on the internet, you'll probably find plenty of in-depth pieces discussing the lineage of Jon Snow and how a certain romantic connection he's made might not be his best move. See how we managed to talk about "it" without actually revealing any proper spoilers? Instead, we're turning out attention to the wardrobes of Game of Thrones Season 7. If you're an avid watcher of the show, you'll know that winter is no longer coming and has indeed arrived with plenty of cold wind and lots of snow. This means that the styling situation is very much changed, and we're very much for it. In fact, we're turning to the fantasy series to inform our winter wardrobe updates this season.

Keep scrolling for the three Game of Thrones–inspired trends we reckon you'll actually wear this winter.

#1: Brooches

Style Notes: We need to talk about the brooches in Season 7 of Game of Thrones. Sansa in particular has been rocking a round metal brooch with a stylish chain running through it. It all feels very Balenciaga.

#2: Chic layering

Style Notes: Layering is integral to any decent winter wardrobe. Cersei Lannister knows this and has showcased a cracking layering technique in her ensembles this season. While she might be GOT's answer to Darth Vader, there's no denying that the short-sleeve coat on top of a long-sleeve dress is totally chic.

#3: Shearling

Style Notes: There's nothing warmer than a touch of shearling. Come the freezing cold months (we like to plan ahead, winter is coming, after all), we'll be making like Daenerys Targaryen and wrapping up, even if it's just a bit of edging around our new winter coat.
