Our Entire Office Just Squealed at the News of H&M's New Designer Collab
H&M has collaborated with everyone from Karl Lagerfeld to Versace to Kenzo, but we think its next designer hookup could actually be the best yet. Our entire office just squealed when an email dropped in our inbox saying we'll be able to buy Erdem in our local H&M store come November.
The Canadian-born designer, Erdem Moralioglu, who shows on the London Fashion Week schedule, is known for his romantic, floral embroidered gowns that have been worn by the likes of Alexa Chung and the Duchess of Cambridge.
The designer said in a press release: “I am so happy to collaborate with H&M, and to explore my work on a whole new scale including a menswear collection which I have never done before. It’s also such a thrill to work with Baz Luhrmann, one of the most important storytellers of our time.” If you're wondering how Baz Luhrmann is involved, he has directed a teaser video for the collection.
The first look at the collection confirms that the collection includes a statement floral full-length gown and a cocktail dress that looks like it's come straight from Alexa Chung's own wardrobe. Bring on November 2.
