From Cara to Lily: What Everyone Wore to Chanel's Latest Party

Philippa Morgan Walker

Last night London’s Saatchi Gallery played host to an exclusive preview party for the launch of Chanel’s Mademoiselle Privé exhibition, attended by long-standing model Vanessa Paradis, and the next generation of muses for the brand: Lily-Rose Depp and Lily Collins.

The eponymous fashion house’s Creative Director, Karl Lagerfeld, welcomed a star-studded list of VIPs, including his BFF Cara Delevingne (who showed off her new lip ring) and a roster of stars, ambassadors, and friends.

The exhibit celebrates the creativity of Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld, respectively. The free showcase features a full-size replica of Coco's Rue Cambon apartment, iconic pieces from the brand's most famous collections, and a series of portraits of Keira Knightley, Lara Stone, and Lily-Rose Depp modelling the Bijoux de Diamants collection. Read British Vogue’s review of the exhibit.

Naturally, the all-star outfits were just as engaging and dazzling as the 3D exhibit itself. (Lily-Rose rebelled against the unofficial monochrome dress code in a lilac Chanel dress. We love a free spirit on the red carpet!) Coco would be proud. Scroll down to see what the stars wore to the party and go further to shop vintage Chanel!

Visit the exhibit between 13 October–1 November 2015 at the Saatchi Gallery, Duke of York's HQ, Kings Road, London, SW3.
