Hey, Winter Brides—Would You Ever Wear a Biker Jacket With Your Dress?

Seriously though, winter brides are lucky in many respects. First, they know the weather is going to be colder, so they don't need to fret about whether or not to have that marquee—they just won't risk it. Second, it's super romantic to get married in the winter—whether it's because there's a lot of snow around or lots of fallen leaves, the time of year makes it extra special. But here's the one thing that isn't enviable: How do you stay warm when it's going to be chilly and you want to show off your wedding dress?

One of the most popular wedding dress designers, Megan Ziems of Grace Loves Lace, has advised on how winter brides should think about outerwear. "I think it's great for brides to be able to have versatility in their look," says Ziems. "Capes allow you to not only create multiple looks throughout the festivity but also turn a summery gown into a winter look."

However, if a cape isn't your thing, Ziems also recommended four additional outerwear options that are great for the winter bride. Keep scrolling to shop the five wedding jackets every bride needs to know about.
