Picture it: The most romantic-looking nail lacquer collection sweeps across your desk, igniting your wanderlust, and before you know it, your bags are packed and you’re on a plane. That’s basically what happened to Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific. Because OPI always nails its lacquer names, so to speak, and the brand’s latest collection is inspired by Venice, Italy, Eadie set off to see if she could match the shades to real-life inspiration.

When you visit Italy, one thing is on most people’s minds: gelato. Case in point: Eadie’s feminine look. She clearly took a style cue from all the candy-coloured flavours and was able to elevate her outfit even more by topping it off with something sweet: pastel mint nails.
What’s black, white, and red all over? Eadie’s outfit and nails, both of which popped even more thanks to the gondola’s striking red décor. What more could a girl want than to cruise the canals wearing a rich black lacquer?
Can’t decide on a nail colour? Follow Eadie’s lead and opt for a shade that complements what you’re wearing. In this case, a cream-orange nail was amped up by a blue gingham dress. See? It’s a piece of cake!
